FLYING THE FRIENDLY SKIES IN FEAR

Since that fateful day in September 2001, flying just hasn’t been the same. Individuals want to trust the commercial airlines and have faith in all of the endless security measures but most are at the very least a bit skeptical about the airlines ability to keep individual passengers safe.

small-jet It is an unfortunate consequence of a horrific experience but fear or at the very least caution must be exhibited when taking a commercial flight, even if you are only traveling to a domestic location. International flights hold even a larger threat of fear. Fear can be paralyzing for some but many travelers still find it difficult to travel with ease to the various regions of the world and there are still many, many people who refuse to step onto a commercial airline flight still 10 years after these events.

The commercial airlines have added in a lot of extra stuff that is designed to keep you safe but not only are the safety measures a bit absurd in most cases they are designed to create a feeling of safety and not actual safety itself. In essence it may seem simple to keep individuals safe while they are on board an aircraft but the problem with this is that airlines can only try and prevent what happened before from happening again and chances are that when a threat really does arise that it will be in a format that the commercial airlines have failed to anticipate.

Risks exist in every mode of travel but many are shying away from commercial airline flights because they just don’t feel as if the airlines are doing all they can to keep them safe. Unfortunately since the variable is the passengers themselves this doesn’t help the airlines because simply by way of allowing people onto the flights they are allowing a potential risk onto each and every flight. Commercial airlines are doing more to keep passengers safe but if you are not comfortable with the level of security that you are experiencing then it may be time to consider flying on a private charter flight. On a private charter flight you will find that much of the same security measures exist as with the commercial airlines with one exception. Since a private flight is just that, private, you will take out a potentially hazardous variable and that will be the other passengers on board who really hold the most risk to you and your loved ones.
