NBAA 2012 Aviation Convention Headed to Orlando

On October 30th, over 26,000 attendees are expected to descend on Orlando, Florida for the 65th Annual Meeting and Convention of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA).  As the world’s largest trade show for civil aviation, this year’s NBAA event will host over 1000 exhibitors offering products and services for aviation related businesses.  The organization was created to foster a positive environment for business aviation in the U.S. and around the world, and represents over 8,000 businesses in over 100 different industries.  This year’s event will be held at the Orange County Convention Center and will feature a static aircraft display outside the convention center as well as its traditional larger display, this year to be hosted at Orlando Executive Airport.

Since its founding in Washington, DC in 1947, NBAA has grown into the most powerful and respected business advocacy voice anywhere for all things aviation, whether aircraft safety, airport facilities and services, quality air traffic control, environmental issues, or any of the dozens of other issues that affect a healthy, safe and equitable business aviation environment.  Today, NBAA remains at the forefront as current globalization is creating a need for standardized international aviation procedures and a global air traffic control policy.  As a group, NBAA’s 8000 member companies employ over 19 million worldwide, and represent revenues of approximately $5 trillion annually, more than half of the annual U.S. GDP.
