World’s airports report ‘healthy and resilient’ passenger demand; freight declines again

The world’s airports reported strong passenger traffic growth in Jun-2011, with ACI World Director of Economics Andreas Schimm commenting that the Jun-2011 results are “very robust closing off an excellent second quarter against the background of numerous challenges”. He continued: “All in all, passenger demand seems very healthy and resilient defying a somewhat shaky and erratic post recovery period in key national economies.” However, freight again declined in the month.
