Suppliers the key to A320 production increase, Airbus sceptical of new Boeing narrowbody
Airbus has confirmed that it is considering increasing production of the A320 to 42-44 aircraft per month, but will need to confirm its suppliers are up to the task. The manufacturer plans to increase A320 output from 36 to 40 aircraft per month by 2012, as it increases output in Europe and its Tianjin facility slowly increases output.
