Double-digit traffic growth in India's domestic market continues; 47% up on 2008 levels

Airline traffic growth in India remained in the double digits in Oct-2010 for two consecutive Octobers of traffic growth with traffic now rebounding to well above pre-recession levels. Growth has averaged above 185% in the year-to-date, due to higher disposable incomes that have driven passenger growth and increased demand for business travel. This pick up in business-class travel has also had a positive affect on yields and hence overall profitability.
