British Airways' London City-JFK service could be just the niche Walsh wants

British Airways’ CEO, Willie Walsh, has vowed to continue expanding the carrier's US services and is considering services from London City Airport (LCY) to Boston, Chicago and Washington as trans-Atlantic traffic has remained “robust” despite the global financial downturn. The carrier already operates to New York JFK from London City, using A318 aircraft, one of the largest types able to use the extended ‘STOLport.’
